One Year Since Our Move!

Today marks one year since we moved the office to Old Trail. Our patients couldn’t be happier. We couldn’t be happier. The expanded, new space has allowed us to offer much-needed services and products to the Greater Charlottesville area. Because we are a private practice, our patients benefit from options not always offered in main stream eye care.

During our team meetings, we brainstorm about how we can best serve our patients and what new services and products will have the most positive impact. Each time we discuss this, we keep coming back to offering unique solutions not found elsewhere in the area. Since our move, we have introduced our Dry Eye Clinic and Neurolens contoured prism. We have also expanded our optical shop and specialty contact lens practice.

Dr. Halbert and Jacki, our Dry Eye Disease Clinic coordinator, continue to make our patients happy with Optilight IPL treatments, which work great on patients with rosacea and dry eyes. Not only does it help the eyes, it also improves the redness on the nose and cheeks. How great that we now have an option besides eyedrops!

For those of you who have been in the office since last July, the new “submarine and fishy” test has been getting a lot of attention. I love my gadgets, and this is no exception. This test measures the alignment of the eyes and, along with patient symptoms, determines if a patient is a candidate for glasses with Neurolens contoured prism. Many of our patients have already enjoyed less eye strain and easier vision with these lenses.

As always, we are thankful for the support and kindness our patients show and look forward to continuing to serve you and make you and your eyes happy!

Have a blessed day,

Dr. Shannon Franklin
